३۞ Academy

஁ค௟ Б⬆៌၄႞ୈԊ Built in 1797, it was formerly known
ᵡ ᄶ ᄾ⡚ࠟ၄Ǘ⾣ࠉ۸ᐔ⯝ as the Wenchang Ancestral Hall (God
✞⡿ᵄ↓ᄺ ΉᚑǗ၄ᒕ೐ Ⴖ of Literature), where many literati and
⿅ᆡ‫ࠥۏ‬ᄳ⽡᳦ᆥ̬খᮆƁ⻼ learned scholars used to hold poetry
ጻƇుًൿჀᅌʕখ⮖ǡᮆҗィ gatherings. It is the only extant academy
‫ދ‬ᷤۨ৾ of the Four Great Academies in Yunlin.
The plaque on the beam, which has
࿽ఢ ┞ᷴᨀ been preserved since the Jiaqing reign
of the Qing Dynasty, is often hailed as a
6 national treasure.
