In the book 100 Ways to Explore Yunlin, several personalized routes are carefully
planned according to the theme, region, and travel method. They cleverly incorporate
local elements into the routes to create trips that are simple, authentic, and touching.
Such as Beigang Huwei Route, which is praised as the route rising along with the
gods. Departing from Douliu Train Station, the shuttle bus stops by 5 temples: Beigang
Wude Temple, Beigang Chaotian Temple, Sihu Haiqing Temple, Taixi Anxi Temple,
and Mailiao Gongfan Temple. While checking out the above historic monuments,
visitors can immerse themselves in the most local religious atmosphere.

Caoling Route departs from Douliu Train Station, crossing over Chiayi Meishan,
Nantou Zhushan and Yunlin Gukeng, roaming through Penglai Waterfall, Chunqiu
Cliffs, Masculine Cliffs, Shuilian Cave, Frog Boulder, Wondrous Cave, Scary Valley,
Tongxin Waterfalls, Lianzhu Pond and Small Refreshing World. Visitors get to embrace
the nature and become one with the nature.

There is also the Mailiao Shicuo Bike Path to connect with No. 154 Yunlin County
Tourism Corridor, Lunbei Green Bike Path, and visit the Qikan & Zhao’an Hakka
settlements, before entering Xiluo and Linnei. Ride along the south bank of the
Zhuoshui River to enjoy countryside sceneries. You will also pass through some of
Yunlin’s renowned arts and cultural venues like Hakka Cultural Hall, Painted Village
and Baolong Paper Factory.

A book about Yunlin has ignited my eagerness to travel. Looking back on the
seemingly wandering journey in the past ten years continuing to explore the meaning
of travel, only after looking back, did I realize that the so-called travel is about life and
learning, which also has continuity. Let’s go as far as this road takes us.
